Community & Sustainability

PlaceMyBooth partners with event producers to champion environmental stewardship by integrating sustainability directly into the vendor selection and management process. They collaborate with organizers to set clear "green" criteria for exhibitors, such as mandating the use of recyclable or modular booth materials, replacing traditional printed collateral with digital alternatives (QR codes), and utilizing energy-efficient LED lighting. Beyond environmental goals, PlaceMyBooth is deeply committed to social responsibility through a dedicated effort to support local food banks. By coordinating with event caterers and producers, they facilitate the donation of surplus food and resources to local community organizations, ensuring that the bounty from large-scale events serves those in need rather than ending up in a landfill.

Sustainable Vendor Guidelines
PlaceMyBooth
To minimize our collective environmental footprint and maximize our positive impact on the local community, all vendors are requested to adhere to the following sustainability standards.

1. Waste Reduction & Material Choice
-
Digital Over Physical: Prioritize QR codes and digital downloads for brochures, business cards, and menus. Limit physical handouts to essential items only.
-
Modular Displays: We encourage the use of rented or reusable booth structures. Avoid single-use foam core boards or non-recyclable vinyl banners.
-
Zero-Waste Packaging: All products should use minimal packaging. If packaging is necessary, it must be certified compostable or 100% recyclable.

2. Energy & Resource Management
-
Efficient Lighting: Use only LED or low-energy lighting fixtures within your booth space.
-
Power Down: Ensure all electronic displays, tablets, and lighting are powered off completely during non-event hours.
-
Water Conservation: For vendors requiring water, please use high-efficiency dispensers and avoid the distribution of single-use plastic water bottles.
3. Sustainable Sourcing
-
Eco-Friendly Products: Priority will be given to vendors who showcase products made from post-consumer recycled content, organic materials, or fair-trade sources.
-
Local Procurement: Whenever possible, source materials and inventory from within a 100-mile radius of the event to reduce transport emissions.
4. Community Give-Back (Food & Resource Donation)
-
Surplus Food Policy: In partnership with PlaceMyBooth, all edible surplus food must be prepared for donation. We will coordinate with local Food Banks for end-of-day pickup.
-
Scraps & Composting: Please use the designated organic waste bins for any food prep scraps to ensure they are diverted from landfills.
-
Material Donation: If you have leftover supplies (e.g., pens, notebooks, or unbranded bags) that you do not wish to transport back, please notify the PlaceMyBooth coordinator for donation to local schools or charities.
Our Goal: To create a "Circular Event" where every resource used either returns to the earth, stays in the economy, or feeds the community.
